My summary

My summary of Bartleby the Scrivener

There was a boss/lawyer, Bartleby, Turkey, and Ginger Nut. It describes in the beginning that the author, which is now the boss/lawyer I think, is old and controls Dead Letter Office. So he was looking for someone to hire and Bartleby was out there trying to get hired. The boss/lawyer hired Bartleby.
So then on the first day he was working really hard. He was a writer and he was real good at it.   A day later Bartleby stopped and was always not doing his work. The boss/lawyer asked him to look over a paper and he said “I would prefer not to”. The boss/lawyer got frustrated with him and asked him again to look over the paper with him. But Bartleby still said “I would prefer not to”. The boss/lawyer got irritated about it so he just told him to read and look over the paper then he put the paper on the desk. So Bartleby just got up from his desk and walked away.
The third day came and Bartleby was still not doing anything so the boss/lawyer went up to him and asked “Can you tell me about when you were born” Bartleby replied “I would prefer not to”,
